At the Hispanic Family Foundation, we believe that every mother and baby deserve a strong, supported start in life. Through our Little Sprouts Program and our Community Baby Showers, we walk alongside single moms, pregnant women, and young families who are struggling, making sure their most critical needs are met during those first precious months of a child’s life.
Since November 2020, we’ve proudly hosted 10 large-scale Community Baby Showers, and served more than 15,000 women—both expectant mothers and those who have recently given birth. These events bring together local clinics, hospitals, nonprofits, and businesses to provide diapers, wipes, baby essentials, strollers, car seats, educational workshops, and most importantly, hope.
In 2023, we had the honor of partnering with First Lady Maria Lee and the Tennessee Serves Initiative for our Splash Splash Community Baby Shower. Through their generosity and commitment to serving vulnerable families, Tennessee Serves donated 50 strollers and 50 car seats to the mothers who attended. This incredible contribution met an urgent need for families who otherwise would not have been able to afford these essential items. We remain deeply grateful to First Lady Maria Lee and Tennessee Serves for their partnership and compassion toward the women and babies we serve.
How the Little Sprouts Program Works

Our Little Sprouts Program enrolls mothers who are pregnant or have infants up to one year old. Once enrolled, families can come to the Hispanic Family Foundation each month to receive diapers, wipes, baby care essentials, and non-perishable food. Our bilingual staff helps make sure that every mother feels welcomed and supported—no insurance or paperwork hurdles required.
Little Sprouts isn’t just about supplies; it’s about empowerment. Moms learn about prenatal and postnatal care, newborn safety, breastfeeding, budgeting, and local resources. We also help connect them with healthcare, mental health support, housing, and employment resources.
Because we’re located inside Plaza Mariachi, in the heart of South Nashville’s immigrant community, our services are easy to reach by public transportation and in a place that feels safe and familiar to families.
The need for diaper and wipe support—and for education around maternal and infant health—is growing every month. Many of the families we serve are living below the poverty line, and items like diapers are not covered by programs like WIC or SNAP. For these moms, choosing between diapers and food is a daily reality.
That’s where the Hispanic Family Foundation steps in. With the help of donors, sponsors, and community partners, we’re able to fill those gaps, providing dignity, stability, and care to women, infants, and children when they need it most.
Your support makes this work possible.
You can donate financially to help us purchase diapers, wipes, baby formula, and educational materials. You can also sponsor a Community Baby Shower, allowing us to serve hundreds of mothers in a single day.
We also welcome in-kind donations, including:
Items can be dropped off at HFF inside Plaza Mariachi in South Nashville. For larger drives or company donations, please email us at info@hffus.org to coordinate.
Every diaper we hand out, every stroller we load into a car, and every smile we see from a relieved mother is powered by generous people like you.
Together, we can continue to support pregnant women, new mothers, and families in crisis—and keep Nashville’s little ones dry, fed, and safe.
